MetroRock is pleased to offer Yoga classes on a regular basis. Classes are taught by experienced yoga instructors who also share the passion of climbing. This allows them to focus-in on strengthening and stretching core muscles used in the sport. Yoga practice will help you increase flexibility, strength and mental focus; all vital elements to improve your climbing abilities!

Yoga is FREE for members and just $5 for non-members. Advanced registration is not required; please visit the front desk to sign up the day of.

Yoga mats and blocks are available for free to borrow at the front desk.

  • Monday
      • 6:00-7:00pm: Core Vinyasa with Ashley

    Ashley’s core vinyasa class is an artful mix of strengthening and balance work. We begin by building up heat with movement like sun salutations, hip opening and twists; promoting the unity of breath and body. This is followed by simple yet strong standing postures to highlight different angles with controlled movement. Lastly, we direct our created heat to help open up and stretch especially tight muscles in purposeful seated postures; closing with a peaceful savasana. Expect the unexpected, every week is a different sequence! This class is appropriate for yogis of all levels. Arm balances and inversion fun upon request!

      • 7:15-8:15pm: Acroyoga for Beginners with Dylan & Adi

    Acroyoga is the combination of yoga, acrobatics, massage, and the creative process. Acro is accepting of all body types and fitness abilities due to its many different rolls and poses. It’s a great addition to your workout or relaxation routine! If you enjoy being challenged in a social environment you should give this class a go; you'll be achieving things in the first 20 minutes you'd never thought you could!

      • 6:00-7:00pm: Vinyasa Yoga with Carina

    Join Carina Antonino DiMare, yoga instructor and massage therapist, for this moderate flow class that incorporates classical sun salutations, balancing postures, forward bends, back bends, and inversions to restore balance in the mind and body. This class weaves together breathwork, precise alignment, and slow, intentional movement. There will be an emphasis on improving flexibility and strengthening areas that benefit climbers. 

      • 7:15-8:15pm: ¡Viva la Yoga! with Eve

    For the first time in Vermont: Yoga flow meets Spanish immersion. Vinyasa en español! Conecta mente, cuerpo, y espíritu. Come practicar - todos son bienvenidos!

      • 6:00-7:00pm: Myofascial Restorative with Jared

    Up level your self-care game with a fusion of active release, yoga, and foam rolling. Using props and massage techniques you will increase mobility and strengthen body awareness to maximize your functional movement. All levels welcome. Newbies encouraged. More info at

      • 7:00-8:00pm: Restorative with Heather

    Combining a restorative yoga practice with your climbing routine is a GREAT idea! Why? As we belay or climb, we create a great deal of tension in our necks, upper bodies, and hips as we hug ourselves to the wall. Restorative yoga gives us the opportunity to slow down and unwind the tight muscle fibers which accumulate and limit our flexibility and mobility; thus, hindering our experience. Restorative yoga not only assists us to be more comfortable in our bodies, it benefits our climbing practice directly. Invite a different kind of strength in your training, the power of flexibility! Give yourself the time to slow down and rest with therapeutic guided movement. Namaste!

    Acroyoga is a collaborative yoga practice that promotes strength, flexibility, and balance. By learning about the body’s center of gravity, flyers and bases learn to flow from pose to pose. Through flowing, stress on joints and low back are released. Acroyoga is a partner practice that’s a stellar addition to any exercise repertoire. Come learn with us!
