Metrorock Climbing Team
The MetroRock youth climbing team is for young athletes who want to take their climbing to a higher level. Team members climb for fun or to compete in national competitions sponsored by the USCCA (United States Competition Climbing Association).
Our coaching staff, led by Steve Buck, work with kids from grade school to high school in weekly practice sessions. We help kids become competition level climbers through technique and strength development in a safe and controlled setting. Each year, we send several of our climbers to local, regional, national and even international level competitions. Team kids have fun while they learn to work hard to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Our facilities feature extensive bouldering areas, tall walls for rope climbing and Everett boasts one of the region's only IFSC speed walls, giving our team an advantage in that competitive event. Trips to outdoor climbing areas round out the training and brings the skill development to a real rock setting.
All team members please note: in order to encourage participation and team spirit, all team members are expected to read and sign our Team Philosophy and Contract located in the *2013 - 2014 Team Information Guide* link below.
