401 Rescue Climber
The Rescue Climber course is essential if you want to climb outdoors and be a great climbing partner. We teach you in an indoor, controlled setting to maximize the teaching ability so we can cover many important topics. We do not expect you to be a professional rescue climber after this course, but we give you the valuable tools to be able to practice and become a great rescue climber. In climbing accidents happen, and they can happen to you. If you and your climbing partner have the basic knowledge to know what to do in the event of an emergency, it could mean the difference between life and death.
We will teach you:
- Anchors
- Knots
- Belay Escapes
- Lowering Systems
- Hauling Systems
- Rappelling Techniques
- Passing a Knot
- Full lead climber scenario with no rope to lower
This course is designed for climbers: Climbing
5.8 or higher
Max ratio 4 Climbers : 1 Instructor

Equipment Requirements: Harness, Climbing Shoes,
4 Locking Carabiners, 12 Carabiners, 4 Shoulder Length Slings, 2
Double Length Slings, Cordolette, and Belay Device
