August 8, 6pm Learn the ways of the rock Warriors to conquer fear, commit to hard moves and embrace falling safely. The Warrior's Way is a tried and tested program that helps lead climbers get over the head games that cause you to climb several grades lower on lead than on top-rope. Experienced instructor Jon Richard will be teaching this class for a maximum of 6 students. Signs up are first come first serve so don't wait! $99 for MetroRock members, $109 for non-members. Get pumped for our new event series!

First Ascent Friday is an informal comp where you vie to nab the first send of a whole new set of routes and problems. First person up gets to name the route and give it a grade!

We'll reset the lead cave and speed boulder in Gnarnia earlier in the day and set you loose on the new climbs that night. Once the routes have been sent, no matter how long it takes, we celebrate with foods and drinks!

Come to a free team practice and see what the adult team will have in store for members.

We'll do some training, talk schedule, set expectations and get all your questions answered.

The Adult Team is a training program for adults looking to improve their climbing in a group workout setting. The team will train for competitions, outdoor projects and general fitness through a variety of lessons, drills and LOTS of climbing. Workouts will be twice a week, once on Sunday, once on a weeknight.

The new seasons kicks off in Everett! Our homegrown bouldering comp series has become a national event but it's still a place where everyone can compete and win! The series rolls on to our Newburyport gym for the second round of sick climbing! Climbing meets speed dating! Come to the gym on Valentine's day and take part in our singles' event. Solo climbers will be paired with a partner to swap belays, chat and get to know each other. Every 15 minutes, you switch partners and meet someone new! After a few climbs, we'll open up the lounge and set the scene for you to follow up with your favorite belayer and maybe get some digits!

There will also be a strong emphasis on “having fun with movement” and the fluid and confident exploration of one’s environment.

Basic Top Rope Safety (101)
7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
1.5 hour class designed for beginners. Staff will walk you through the basics required to get you climbing on the ropes and having fun times. Topics include basic knots, belay technique, safety concerns and climbing etiquette. All rental gear is included. Once you are done with the class you can continue climbing in the gym to practice your new skills. Normal Class Hours Monday - Friday 7:30-9pm Saturday & Sunday 12:30-2pm Please call in advance to reserve your spot. Yoga
7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Classes are taught by experienced yoga instructors who also share the passion of climbing. This allows them to focus on strengthening and stretching core muscles used in the sport. Yoga practice will help you increase flexibility, strength and mental focus; all vital elements to improve your climbing abilities! Monday - Thursday 7:30-8:30pm
