homepage-oct-2007_06.jpg Welcome to MetroRock - New England's premier climbing destination! Just minutes north of the city, our focus at MetroRock Everett is to be the home for Boston's climbing community. We start with the best terrain, add in nationally certified route setters, rapid route turnover, fitness/training equipment and convenient services. Throw in our nationally ranked Climbing Team, the region's biggest competitions, our Outdoor Guiding School, and we've got climbing covered. Voted Boston's Best Climbing Gym for 4 years running, we've got what you need!
features_mod.jpgClick here to take a 3D tour of our gym! Our climbing walls are the largest in all of New England, covering more than 30,000 square feet - including 120 top-rope and lead climbing stations and 5,000 square feet of bouldering walls. We have a wide range of terrain for all levels of abilities including slabs, cracks, corners, overhung arches, and roofs. Autobelays are installed in specific areas for those who want to "rope up" without a partner. We also have a 10 meter IFSC speed wall for speed climbing competitions. MetroRock Boston is a world-class full-service facility, which includes: a pro-shop carrying the latest climbing gear, books/magazines and your favorite MetroRock gear; a snack/coffee bar; showers and locker rooms; public WiFi service; and a lounge area where you can soak in the latest climbing videos or get your foosball on. In addition, private rooms are available to host your event, whether it’s a birthday party or a corporate team-building exercise. We can easily accommodate large groups within our cavernous facility! We also have 2 high ropes challenge courses for birthdays, events, or weekend drop-in if you're looking for a different kind of adventure!
Apart from our climbing walls, we house a complete fitness and training facility under our roof. Whether you are looking for an aerobic workout, want to hone your climbing skills with sport-specific equipment, or just zen-out with some yoga, we have what you need! We provide several workout-specific areas in our gym, including our 1,800 sq ft training mezzanine which includes a Treadwall and several System Walls with varying degrees of overhang. Other equipment includes hangboards, campus rungs (multiple sizes), gymnastics rings, and a slackline. You can schedule time with one of our personal trainers or join one of our ongoing classes to learn how to become a stronger, better climber! The fitness room has inclining treadmills, stationary bikes, a rowing machine, free weights, kettle bells, resistance bands, medicine balls, pull-up bars, benches, and abdominal equipment. We got you covered whether you're looking for a traditional workout or a crossfit-style burn. The Yoga room hosts classes throughout the week (free for members!) and can provide a peaceful area for your own yoga practice. Grab a mat and block, plug in your ipod, and crank out a workout on your own time and at your own pace!
IMG_3668 - Copy_0.JPGMetroRock Boston is home to one of the very few indoor ropes courses in the country, providing year-round adventure. In fact we have two separate venues - a "big kids" course and a course specifically designed for younger kids! We use the latest technology to ensure a comfortable experience: our self-belay equipment allows the customer to control where and when they move within the course, while eliminating the possibility of accidentally detaching from the safety lines. Finally, our courses are inspected and licensed by the State to meet all national ACCT standards. Find out more on our Programs Page.
